Formed in 2011 as a scrappy barter market inside a friend's house, Denver Handmade Homemade still holds those humble beginnings close.
For years, HAHO hopped around the city hosting craft & food markets, and helped move some of Denver's great local artisans into the professional world. Taking the 'resource provider' moniker in a different direction, HAHO raised a bit of money and opened a full-scale incubator and event space for the creative community, called 'The Spindle.'
With all of the necessary tools at their fingertips, HAHO hopes to develop a culture around local production and consumption.
The face behind HAHO:
Meet Stephen. He is the current sole organizer and facilitator at Denver Handmade Homemade. Although he isn't an avid crafter himself, his background in community development and local economic activism ignites his desire to promote local spending and support Denver's creative community.
He has been known to build furniture and custom HAHO props, brew beer, and make dog treats from the spent grains. In 2015, he restored an old camper to be an AirBnb listing in his backyard.
Because he is the sole organizer, he wrote this blurb too. Hi, it's me Stephen!
See you at the Market!
