We received such an overwhelmingly positive response after that first event that we decided to continue hosting it, on a monthly basis. It was clear from that first “market” that we had tapped into something that people in our community were longing for – a chance to create a new livelihood for themselves and their families following the 2008 financial collapse that saw family incomes in all communities dwindle.
While we believe that we’ve succeeded in our original mission, we also believe that it’s time to take the HAHO to the next level, to continue building resilient communities by offering more support and services to help our vendors launch their businesses faster and with greater success.
To that end, on March 1st we launched a Kickstarter campaign to raise $30,000. This money will be used to lease a permanent community event space and workshop as well as build out our new program, the HAHO's Vendorship Program - a network of discounted goods and services available to HaHo vendors to help further their business and use of a co-working maker space and commissary kitchen.
Thanks for your years of support!
