Hello!
We are pleased and excited to announce some big changes to the Denver Handmade Homemade Market. A month ago we asked all of you to join us for a “town hall” style meeting to discuss the future of the market as Kylie and I had decided to step down from our management roles. The turnout was great and we received really positive, informative, and important feedback. At the meeting we asked you all what you would like to see happen with the market moving forward. The conversation included how the market could be structured in the future: as a coop, a non-profit, or keeping it an LLC, as it’s currently structured. We also solicited applications from people interested in taking over the management of the HaHo.
In the feedback we got during the meeting and in our online survey, most people felt that the current structure (incorporated as an LLC with 2 primary owners/managers) was working and, based on the timeline, was the only feasible way to have a successful market season in 2012. After meeting with several applicants to take over the HaHo and discussing the realities of running the market, we decided to hand over the HaHo to two people who have been involved with the market since early last year and who are dedicated to Denver and continuing to cultivate the incredible community that makes up and partakes in the Denver Handmade Homemade Market. We wanted to give them a chance to introduce themselves and a chance for you all to ask any and all questions you’d like to ask. So, we are excited and grateful to announce that Danielle Langworthy and Stephen Toma will be taking over as the new owners and managers of the Handmade Homemade Market! Kylie and I will continue to be involved with the market as much as possible and we will be keeping a small percentage of the ownership of the market so that we can continue to be invested in the success of the HaHo in the future.
We cannot tell you what an incredible experience and powerful journey it has been to start the Handmade Homemade Market in this community, moving from a small backyard with 15 vendors to a warehouse space that barely contains us. Thank you all so much for your time, energy, and commitment to this market and this community. We will miss you all so much and hope to stay involved as much as possible!

Dani Langworthy:
Hello HaHo community! My name is Dani Langworthy, and I am so very excited for the opportunity to be more integrally involved in the HaHo Market, and to get to know each and every one of you better. As an instructor of anthropology and sociology and an urban farmer, I have long been committed to the idea that there are better economic structures in which we can foster interaction and support for each other, rather than serving only to divide and isolate us from one another. The HaHo creates exactly this kind of space, and I look forward to taking on a new role in building our community together.

Stephen Toma:
Hey! My name is Stephen Toma and I am super pumped about taking the reigns of the HaHo! I have been working as a community organizer for the last few years through my work in outdoor education, the non-profit sector, and Colorado's local food movement and I am so excited to shift all of the skills I’ve learned through these experiences to the Handmade Homemade Market. There are so many beautiful people living right next door to us and it is my intention to never lose sight of the necessity to grow our community! The HaHo tells a story of what the neighborhood is up to; the vendors are your friends and neighbors and the market lets you support and encourage them. I don’t believe there is any other way to do business!
